Here at Ghyll Head we have many ways in which you can support and give back to the residents of Manchester and make a lasting impact in our community.

Through our Give Back opportunities, we invite businesses of all sizes to join us in supporting Ghyll Head's mission of empowering young people through outdoor education. By participating in volunteer projects, fundraising efforts, and collaborative initiatives, Manchester businesses can not only give back to their community but also engage their employees in rewarding experiences.

Volunteering

The centre is always welcome to volunteering hours - there's always something we can get you and your teams involved with! Encouraging employees to volunteer their time and skills at Ghyll Head is a meaningful way to support the centre.

As volunteers, participants can engage in a variety of activities, from painting and helping maintain the centre's facilities to supporting our grounds team in their work across out vast footprint, to lending a hand in our laundry. Each moment spent volunteering at Ghyll Head is not only an opportunity to give back but also a chance to connect with nature, inspire young minds, and foster a sense of stewardship for the environment. Whether it's sharing your outdoor skills or simply lending a helping hand, volunteering at Ghyll Head leaves a lasting impact on both volunteers and our young residents.

You can organise team-building activities or volunteer days where employees participate in outdoor activities and can extend their time with us with a stay in our Pod Village. The opportunities are endless.

Sponsor a Visit

If you're interested in sponsoring or helping to support a group visit and stay at the centre including the various charities, youth and community group as well as the wide range of school groups then we can certainly help you make this happen.

Ghyll Head offers unforgettable outdoor experiences that promote personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills. Through your sponsorship, you'll provide students with the opportunity to participate in activities like canoeing, climbing, and orienteering, helping them develop confidence and resilience in a supportive environment.

The centre hosts a wide range of groups from across Manchester, and therefore your support could help the young people of Manchester visit the centre and take away an experience which will live with them for the rest of their lives.
